This alternative history is set during the Cold War in 1962. Nuclear bombs are actually dropped on the USA! Scott, the story's protagonist, is safe as his parents are the only adults in his neighborhood who took the threat of nuclear war seriously and built a fallout shelter under their house. But how safe can he REALLY be when his neighbors are determined to find a way in? When water and food are in short supply? When his Mother is in desperate need of medical help? And when the adults start to turn on one another? Read this thriller and find out, although beware if you are claustrophobic, this is one dark and dangerous fallout shelter! |

2nd Annual Skyping event with the international Community School at Addis Ababa in Ethiopia4/9/2015 Once again this year the MMS History Department had the opportunity to Skype live with students at the International School at Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This year's Skype session focused on their trip to the source of the Blue Nile, Lake Tana, and Bahir Dar. Two sessions were held, with 30 students attending each, and in both sessions there were great discussions regarding the trip taken by the students at Addis Ababa. Not only did we have the live Skype Session, but students were also given iPads to participate in a live chat room on TodaysMeet so that the conversation could be twofold.
