It is no surprise that this book would be right up my alley as I studied anthropology in college and find sagas about old bones completely fascinating.
But it was oh-so-much better than I had even hoped. Each chapter introduces you to a historical mini-mystery set somewhere in past North America.
Facial re-constructionists, scientific artists who make real historical people come alive, talk about the challenges of each case and the treasure trove
of historical data and insight that arise as each face from the past seems to magically appear. The fact that there are 3 cases from the Albany area is the icing on the cake and already has me ready to declare this the best read of 2013…..maybe ;)
