Story Spheres are fascinating. Have you seen them? Or maybe even made one? If you haven't seen them yet, Story Spheres is a free web-based platform that allows you to make your own Virtual Reality environments, and also check out spheres that others have made. Take a look at the one above from Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park in Australia to see how they work, and then jump into making one of your own. I am working on one right now and it is a lot easier then I was expecting - check it out!
Okay, I know that Hour of Code/Computer Science Week is over, but I just had to let you know about one more resource that I had so much fun with! You can plan, design, and code your own retro arcade games - check it out!
Who doesn't love a Google Doodle? I've had so many favorites that it is hard to pick out which one I liked the best, but it may have been the animated John Lennon Doodle. What's your favorite? Send me an email and let me know, and check out this Google for Education Lesson if you are interested in creating your own Google Logo/Doodle. December 7 -11, 2020 is Hour of Code/Computer Science Education Week, an annual call to action to inspire more kids your age to consider computer science as a career path. The HOC page has lots of cool hands-on games/tutorials to jump in and explore, including new Minecraft tutorials - woo hoo! - and a really interesting exploration of AI, a subject I find both fascinating and super scary. Celebrate with with me and learn some new coding that could lead to an amazing career in the future.
